Hailing from Co. Down, N. Ireland, Rik had been interested in making films from a young age. Side tracked into business when he left school, Rik, with persuasion from his peers, got back into film making and in September 2013 started studying an MA film making course at Kingston University, London where he graduated in January 2015. In November 2015, Rik completed his first ambitious short film ‘The Pigman’ which has gone on to be screened in festivals worldwide and winning the ‘Audience Award for Best Short’ at the prestigious Dingle International Film Festival.

Sarah Laura Hauenstein

Sarah Laura Hauenstein is a London-based filmmaker/videographer with Swiss roots. Driven by her passion for filmmaking she either works on projects independently or as a member of a collective of like-minded independent filmmakers (as producer, director, assistant director, cinematographer or editor). She is familiar with the whole process of filmmaking and therefore able to come up with a concept, plan, shoot, edit and publish moving images. Her background is in journalism and communications, BA studies, Switzerland, as well as film making, MA studies, UK. Sarah Laura Hauenstein’s main interest is people and their unique stories and genuine personalities. Vignettes, portraits, documentaries and art films are her preferred genres. Her main ambition is to build a sincere relationship with the subject to get a glance behind the surface of an individual – firstly in person and then through the lens of a camera.
